A Few Pictures of Us

I needed to have some pictures of me and the kids today. First, I tried to get my husband to take them. This is a good example of what the result of that was:

So me and the kids grabbed the camera and I snapped of some pictures at arm's length.

A nice one (except my upper lip is missing. Where on earth did I leave it now?):

Wait a minute, are these MY kids?

Om my God. I think they are!

AAAAAAAAAAAAH!

Catherine is certainly becoming a beauty. Her Daddy will have to be getting a shotgun soon. Hope's Daddy says he will be. I have very mixed feelings about this age, the little girls are disappearing and the young women are blossoming. I take every chance I can get to have mommy/daughter moments. I soak up every hug and eagerly suggest mommy/daughter sleepovers when Daddy is out of town because I don't know how much longer she'll want to do it. Thank goodness we still have our "baby" boys for a few more years. Nice pics!

Thanks guys. I've been holding back from posting a picture for silly girly reasons ("Ew! A double chin?") but those ones were too fun not too!

Lorraine - Yup. I keep having to do double takes with Catherine because I can just see the young woman in her and yes, she's going to be a looker. We don't have a shotgun though. I've always wanted to build a trebuchet though. That would get rid of the boys awfully quick...As long as we could strap 'em in before they screamed.

Hello pretty lady! I've seen pics of the kids but never had any idea what YOU looked like! Yay! And I totally love the fact that you posted the crazy face ones too! *grin*

Very fun and funny! I love pictures like that!

I've not showed myself on my blog yet...glad you did though. You look great!

I meant to comment on your cleaning up after the kids post. It's food for thought--clean up so they can mess again on a clear canvas. I think that's a brilliant way to look at it. It certainly helps mitigate frustration when they create a new mess in .03 seconds after the big clean up...

Thanks Laura. I'd written that and then forgot about itfor the longest time so rediscovering it has been helping me too! My kitchen table is actually getting cleared off on a regular basis. :D
