Looking for Houses

It starts today.

Sadly, the house I was in love with sold. The husband and I resolved that we could absolutely not make an ofer on any house until he had a permanent postition in Nova Scotia. We received offical confirmation that he had such a position yesterday. And yesterday we learned the house I wanted had sold.

Oh well. It is a gorgeous house but didn't have the land we wanted.

Still, darn it.

Today we're looking at three. A boring bungalow on a hill with a spectacular view and awesome winter sledding potential. A former B&B with a barn with awesome hobby farm potential and a spilt entry with an apartment which means an extra kitchen/potential science lab.

I can't wait!

Congrats on the job, but sorry about the house. Job = good thing!

ooooo....I'd have a hard time deciding between the sledding hill and the animal barn B&B!

Good luck finding just the right place - the other place was just not meant to be...maybe there was something wrong with it that you couldn;t see or whatever.....you'll find the right place, just takes time. :-)

Well, the houses left in the running sound great, too :)

Have fun -- and good luck!

Thanks all. Turns out the hobby farm house is everything we wanted. Darn thing has oodles of land, is 2800 sq. feet and has a tree fort! Only thing is it's a foreclosure and needs lots of work though nothing we can't live with for now. It's also ugly as all get out but with 4 bedrooms, who cares? :D

We still have more houses to view though. It's fun so far!

I vote for the B&B with the barn. I always vote for the barn...
