Please, Please, Please Update

Here's what happened. We were approached by someone interested in our house. This someone has actually been a posibility all along but we had decided to fix up the house to list it thinking he'd lost interest.

Not so.

We talked yesterday and he wants it. He also wants us to not do a thing more to the house. No painting, no fix ups, no nothing because he's planning to fix it up to rent anyway.

The only slightdownside is that all the houses we were really interested, all the ones I've posted here, are sold as far as I know. There's one I've been looking at all along, a converted barn, that may be a possibility but we may also have to wait a month or to for the Spring listings to start showing up. But that's a tiny concern. The biggest hurdle has been conquered!

Congratulations Dawn! You're certainly in the driver's seat now. It seems the next step will be deciding on the destination. How very exciting!

And I'm supposing this means no real estate fees paid by you since you found your own buyer? That's a bonus!

Yup. :D No fees, no spending money on fix ups and paint and best of all, he's a good guy who will treat the neighbours well. Which actually was a concern of mine.
