This is a set that is wonderfully well written, has a volume of primary sources and usually costs over $200. I own the other set in the series, The Medieval and Early Modern World set (bought on sale as well although not nearly as good a sale) and can certainly vouch for it's quality. Even the husband, a history buff, has enjoyed reading through the set.
Use it as spine, as an extra resource or just put it on a book shelf and let the kids explore it but for gosh sakes, don't let this deal pass you by!

That I don't know. I suspect this set is going out of print and they're clearing it out so maybe that's the final price but last time they had a sale on the other set it only lasted a few days I think.
Darn, the set is now over $225 on Amazon and over $300 on the publisher's site. I guess the deal didn't last long!

I got a message from Amazon cancelling my order due to pricing error. Those that ordered directly from OUP are having their orders honoured but those of us who ordered from Amazon are out of luck.
Ah well, it was worth a try.
